As an artist, part of my job is to create opportunities for people to see and think differently.
I've been creating and producing images professionally for over 20 years. Actually, my interest in collages began back in high school. The images displayed on this site are assemblages that I construct and photograph in my studio, using items that are often viewed as disposable or ordinary such as paper plates, a dried leaf or flower, or a scrap of newspaper. Before I take a photograph, I delicately place these objects side by side, underneath, and on top of each other, resulting in an image that reveals a unique perspective on things that are a part of our everyday lives. The goal of this work is to give you, the viewer, a moment of inner reflection... with things that are often viewed as ordinary or disposable. These photographs are generic in subject, but specific in concept: ordinary objects viewed with consideration and passion. A partial list of clients includes: the Boca Raton Museum; Miyako Osaka Hotel, Japan; WNYC Radio, NY and corporate and private collectors around the world. Your thoughts and comments are welcomed.
